fema camps ?

Hello,
I've included a picture of my cardi.. I'm getting there !! I am at a bit of a snag at the moment. I ended up hounding my hubby about the directions he HATES to hear knitting directions.. knit one purl two.. drives him nuts ~:_)
Then I called my oldest dd , who is a beginner knitter.. LOL ! SHE said mom, just call Melanie !!
Thankfully I ended up doing just that !
I cked on cost through Vonage to phone across the world to New Zealand :only .06 a min.YEA !! Poor Mel.. looks like I will be calling her more often !LOL

We had a wonderful Mother's day Sunday..
After the church we drove to Blair and went to a really nice restaurant.
The neatest thing was a couple from our church were right in front of us.. we we all sat together. nice to get to know them.

We then went to mom's for coffee & chatting.
we came home mid afternoon.. Kim & Jen washed my van.. ck ed the oil and all .. ready for our little road trip tomorrow. I will be taking Jen to meet up with Daisha .. and she will stay there a couple nights.. then they are all back on Wed. :-)

great belated Valentine dinner

We had a great dinner with our church friends.
I think their were about 30 couples there.. plus some older ladies..
it was so nice to be served dinner.. :-) Steak.. pot. salad and soup..
plus the kids that showed up had a movie and pizza right in the other room.
At first Jena G was going to go and help. Then she said she'd rather sit with gram and talk..
THEN the youth minister came to her this morning and said they were going to a hockey game ... so she decided that was more fun.. Then the minister will take her to mom's after so she can stay alnight :-) SO fun all around..

Hope you are having a great day !
We are saddened by the flooding in many areas of Iowa.. Thankfully my mom's home was not hit again this year as it was last. But we certainly understand what those experincing it are going through. Unless you have gone through it there is no way to understand.. And I for one don't want you too :-)

It has been cool here , no rain & very low humidty.. which we are thankful for.

On my yahoo group we have been discussing modest dress. culture versus Bible ..
If you haven't done so before.. pick one person out at work or your neighborhood that you would like to invite to chruch.. Then pray for that person every day. When you think God has spoken to them.. :-) then make your move. Nothing big.. Just say.. Do you attend chruch somewhere ? if not we'd love to have you come to ours.
Just sit back and reap the rewards God has provided.. We always worry about speaking to others.. but more then once i have heard people remark.. No one asked me to come.. if htey had I would have gone. OR .. seems no one goes to chruch anymore cuz no one has mentioned it to me.
My mil just told me today they she never asks anyone b/c she feels it is their choice.
I said Yea.. but by not asking them you are not giving them a choice ! She agreed !

well off to work in my sewing room. I want to knit.. & sew.. but I can't do both at the same time ! LOL
